Marketing & Events Officer 

This customer facing position will require a passionate and motivated individual to assist in facilitating events for Gymnastics in South Australia. Reporting to the Marketing and Event Coordinator you will be responsible for providing a quality service to our volunteers and members, to ensure events are facilitated successfully. Under the direction of the Marketing and Event Coordinator, you will assist with delivering Gymnastics South Australia marketing and communication activities. This hands-on role will have a strong focus on collaboration, adaptability and customer service.


Skills and Qualification:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or 1+ year experience, preferably within sports administration or gymnastics. 
  • Knowledge and experience working with gymnastics, highly desirable. 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and friendly outgoing nature. 
  • Strong leadership and people management skills 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • High level organisational skills and the ability to self-mange time and work under pressure to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to think analytically and develop effective strategies. 

Work hours and additional requirements:

  • The role is casual 10 hours per week. Due to the nature of casual work these hours may vary.  
  • However, weekend and after hours work will be required during event times.

Education and Early Childhood Development Officer 

This support position will require a passionate and motivated individual to assist in leading the growth and professional development of our gymnastics workforce.
This role will have a focus on Education Administration and support the Education and Early Childhood Development Coordinator with planning and facilitating KinderGym development and accreditation opportunities. This role will have a strong focus on quality services, workforce growth and individualised customer service.

Skills & Qualification: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or 1+ year experience, preferably within sports administration or related field. 
  • Gymnastics Coaching and/or Judging qualification required. 
  • Presenter and Assessor qualification highly desirable.


Knowledge & Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate will have a positive and friendly outgoing nature. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • High level organisational skills and the ability to self-manage time and work flexibly to achieve outcomes. 
  • A KinderGym qualification is highly desirable.


Work Hours and Additional Requirements: 

  • This is a casual position, 10 hours per week. This role will involved weekday and/or weekend work.

·        Deliver a variety of Gym Sports programs with professionalism and care for participant

·        Interact with children positively and assist in the development of technique and skills 

·        Be responsible for the safety of participants and equipment during programs 

·        Provide excellent customer service to children and parents

Women's Artistic Gymnastics / Gymnastics for All - Intermediate Coach

Required shifts:

WAG - Monday 4.30-7, Thursday 4- 7.30 & Saturday 12 - 3.30 - Level 3.
GFA - Tuesday 4-5

Programs

To write, coordinate and provide programs in collaboration with the head coach that meet the needs and the level of the athletes. Programs must meet standards that are set by the club, GSA and GA and are to reflect progress and safety. To monitor all programs in place and evaluate their effectiveness and progression on a regular basis

Services

To provide a safe, friendly and supportive environment to the athletes, parents/caregivers, other club members and volunteers. To provide and issue information on all aspects of the gymsport and other services offered by the club.

Knowledge

To have and provide technical knowledge on the following subjects up to and including international standards:

  • Skill development
  • Up to date knowledge on state and national level systems
  • Coach education
  • Requirements for state and national competitions
  • Gymsport safety
