ADVANCED BRIDGING WORKSHOPS
Gymnastics SA presents a series of workshops on the Science of Gymnastics. Presented by Tammy Johnson
This fun, informative series will benefit all Coaches from Intermediate Level and above but is highly recommended for all Advanced Coaches and those wishing to move on and prepare for their Advanced Silver Accreditation.
The series consists of two Biomechanics workshops where concepts on stability, effective force application, linear concepts of inertia, trajectory, rotations, and momentum and torque will be covered. A focus will be on simplifying these concepts to assist with understanding and creating a foundation for future learning in this area.
Physiology workshops will cover muscle contraction and concepts of tissue adaptation to training stimuli, and muscular endurance.
Anatomy will be delivered in an interactive classroom setting. Concepts on terminology and bones will be taught and there will be an introduction to muscles and their origins, insertions, and functions.
The Workshop topics will be delivered in two parts across the Education weekend and offered via ‘zoom’ for any interstate or regional candidates wishing to participate.
